The Tones

I remember when I was a child I use to lie in bed and listen to a high-pitched ringing in my ears. When I asked my mother what that high pitched ringing was she said it was just fluid in my ears. She would have been right except I also distinctly remember being able to bring the sound on or make it go away at will. That was very strange, why would I be able to manipulate a sound that was coming from an organic cause? Now I know that what I was listening to was, the ‘tones’.

What are the ‘tones’? Well, they are high pitched ringing sounds that seem to be coming from your ears, but they are not. The ‘tones’ are actually threads of consciousness that can’t be explained using words or the organic brain. The ‘tones’ are something that has to be experienced to understand.

A way to see if you can hear the ‘tones’ is simply to shut your ears and listen. When you take away the external sounds of the world you should still hear something. If you hear a high-pitched ringing then you are either hearing the ‘tones’ or you have tinitus. You can tell if you are hearing the ‘tones’ if you can increase the volume and/or split the sound into octaves of ‘tones’.

One can work with the ‘tones’ by listening and moving the ‘tones’ around in your head. Just by experiencing the ‘tones’ you are gaining knowledge that goes beyond the organic brain. You are not hearing the ‘tones’ with your ears, but with your higher consciousness. Sounds crazy right? But when you manipulate the ‘tones’ you are actually exercising your higher consciousness. The ‘tones’ can only be moved or manipulated by your higher consciousness.

Working with the ‘tones’ somehow imparts a knowledge that can’t be gained with conventional thinking. When I make the ‘tones’ louder I can’t explain how I do that. I just will it to happen and it happens. I am learning how to manipulate the ‘tones’ more and more as I work with them. I can now hear multiple ‘tones’ easily and raise the volume of the ‘tones’ easily. More difficult for me right now is moving the ‘tones’ from one side of my head to the other.

I can see where the ‘tones’ are not talked about much in spiritual teachings, as they can be confused with tinitus or other ear problems. The main distinction I can see between the ‘tones’ and tinitus is that the ‘tones’ seem to be coming from inside your head

The thing about the ‘tones’ is that it is something that the organic brain cannot filter out. The limiter or governor in our organic brains is always trying to hold us in this one dimension; trying to keep our attention in this place, but for some reason the ‘tones’ get through from a higher place of consciousness.

The ‘tones’ can also be related to different places of consciousness, the higher the ‘tone’ the higher the place of consciousness. I would guess that a good objective would be to try and hear the highest ‘tone’ you can.
