Churches have differing website designs. I know I have witnessed far too many churches with website designs that are very offensive to my eyes. I have also seen many churches that have a website which looks more like a child drew it with crayon! Still, I have seen a few websites that do exactly what they should be doing.

What type of content should you be putting out there? Believe it or not people come to a church because of the preaching and teaching. Activities and events may draw some I admit but if you don't teach them anything it still doesn't make them want to come back to your church. People are begging for life giving water and if you only show activity you are giving them sand.

You want to have your churches main message on the very first web page. A lot of people are already christians looking for churches. That means they want to hear what you believe and how you believe it. It may be a great idea for you to place a video sermon on your website.
